A few extras are standard features on this affordable cruiser

If you are looking for a boat with high quality, high styling and excellent engineering, then a Glastron is for you. If you are looking for a mid-priced bowrider that takes advantage of these qualities, then the GT line is where you will find your dream, and, quite possibly, the GT 225 was designed for you.
The GT 225 is sized just right for most bowriders. At 22 feet long, she is not one of the biggest but is certainly the right size for bowriders looking for an affordable, easy-to-trailer boat. With plenty of seating and wide walkways, passengers over six feet tall will be quite comfortable.
One of the best design features of the GT 225 is a spacious walkthrough that doesn’t sacrifice seating space. The center section of the sun lounge opens to provide a non-skid surface for transom boarding. The center of the rear wrap-around seat opens to provide a step from the transom. There’s snap-in carpeting and plenty of cup holders and other stainless steel fittings throughout the boat.
While skiers and swimmers will really enjoy the extended platform, all passengers will enjoy the handrails strategically placed throughout the boat. A wrap-around Captain’s chair is also available with a flip up bolster, so you can operate the boat while standing.
If you’re looking for options, consider the XL package, which includes the flip up seating, chrome speaker covers, stainless steel drink holders and a stainless steel rub rail.
The boat handles remarkably well. Power steering allows you to maneuver with ease. The GT225 comes equipped with a Volvo Penta GXi 270 hp stern drive. Engines are available up to 320 horsepower for the hardcore boating enthusiast.
The boat, stern drive and trailer may all be purchased for around $30,000. This is a very modest price for a boat that handles so well, is very accommodating to passengers and comes with an extended swim platform.
