For over 10 years, Tomco has been constructing tugs that are durable and comfortable. Tom Nelson, Mike Schoppert, and Kurt Dilworth joined their boating expertise to start their tug business in 2000. Before they began Tomco Marine, Inc., they had each worked at Nordic Tugs where they had experienced engineering and managerial positions. As their business grew, they began to construct the American Tug 31’, American Tug 41, and American Tug 49’. Although these boats range from $500,000 to $930,000, they are carefully produced by Tomco to ensure a long life. Their biggest tug, the American 49’, is 53’ long and 16’ wide. Also, it can carry 800 gallons of fuel and over 200 gallons of water in its tanks. Besides its physical dimension, it also has amenities. If you’re hungry, you can cook a Mac-n-Cheese in the microwave or make an omelette on the stove. Or if you’re stressed from a busy day of fishing, you can relax on the sofa in the salon and watch your favorite movie on the DVD player.
