Carolina Skiff Boats

Carolina Skiff designs and manufactures boats for fishing, pleasure and commercial use. The Georgia based company currently sells more than 45 models of center console and skiff boats. Carolina Skiff is affiliated with Sea Chaser sportfishing boats. Length ranges from 12 feet to 27 feet between the two companies.Carolina Skiff fishing boats can be designed by fishermen directly from the official website. Consumers can choose a hull to build on or a given model and launch a boat builder to complete an order. 

Carolina Skiff hulls are available in five models. Models include DLV & Elite Hull, DLX Hull, J-Series Hull, JV-Sportsmen Hull and JVX Sportsmen Hull. Each hull is designed with a specific use in mind. The J-Series Hull, for instance, is created for use on a shallow fishing boat. The Sportsmen Series Hull, on the other hand, are colored for minimal sight when being used outdoors in a wooded setting.

Carolina Skiff models are available in an Elite series, DLV series, DLX series, J series, JV series and JVX series. Kits are also available for to build fishing boats and pleasure boats at home. All models are created based on one of the Carolina Skiff fishing boat or outdoor boat hulls. The Elite series of Carolina Skiff uses the DLV & Elite hull and is available in a 19‘ and 20‘10“ model. Both models of fishing boat offer a 6“ to 8“ draft and 96“ beam. The DLV 198 Elite, 19‘ model, holds a maximum of 10 people and powers on the water with 115 HP. The DLV 218 Elite, 20‘10“ model, holds 14 people and has 150 maximum HP.

The basic DLV hull is used in the DLV line of Carolina Skiff fishing boats. Models range from 17‘ to 24‘10“. With six fishing boat or pleasure boat models in the series, consumers can choose based on total desired capacity. Minimum capacity is 9 people on the 17‘ model. Maximum capacity at  24‘10“ is 18 people. HP ranges from 90 to 200 based on overall boat length and weight.

The DLX series of Carolina Skiff fishing boats spread from 13‘10.5“ to 27‘1“. The fishing boats can hold from five to 22 people with a maximum HP of 225 on the 27‘ model. The signature feature of the DLX hull is easy maneuverability on open water. 

The J series fishing boats are all about shallow water.The J series is also referred to as a Jon boat or utility boat. Upgrades over traditional Jon boats or utility boats include center console and dual live wells as options. Rod holders and optional color choice are also available. The J series Jon boats measure 13‘8“ to 15‘8“. There are two models of J series Carolina Skiff for each length. The models are identical aside from a change steering. The SS model offers joystick steering and the CC is a center console model.

The JV and JVX series of fishing boat or pleasure boat is a highly customized Carolina Skiff model. There are three steering choices with each model - center console, tiller handle and JV stick steering. The JVX model offers side console in place of tiller handle steering. Boat lengths in this series range from 13‘ to just more than 20‘. The JV series maxes out at 50 HP, but the JVX series tops out with 90 available HP.
