Chinese shipbuilder Cheoy Lee has built sailing vessels since 1870 . A builder of large ships for commercial and government use as well as private pleasure, Cheoy Lee Shipyards was one of the first to use fiberglass in ship construction and also has led the way in development of GRP/foam core construction. Since 1950 , Cheoy Lee has built a variety of different types of large sailing vessels, including tug boats, cargo ships, passenger ferries, vehicle ferries, boats designed for firefighting, large pleasure yachts, sloops, rescue launches, motorsailers, potable water carriers, and many more in their Duomen, China, shipyard. The United States serves as the primary market for the pleasure-craft division of Cheoy Lee, and the company builds its yachts to meet the standards set by the American Boat and Yacht Council. Cheoy Lee offers four series of large motor yachts which can be customized to meet the desires of each customer. The models offered are as follows : the Bravo 65’'92/72’'92; the Bravo 68’'92; the Bravo 78’ ; the Bravo 84’'92; the Bravo 88’'92; the Bravo 90’'92; the Bravo 95’'92; the Global 100' Motor Yacht; the Global 118' Motor Yacht ; the Global 118' Long Range; the Global 128' Expedition; the Serenity 59, the Serenity 68; the Serenity 80, the Serenity 90 Expedition; the Marco Polo I; and the Marco Polo II. The Affinity Yacht 90 is also built by Cheoy Lee for Affinity Yachts. The cost of a new Cheoy Lee motor yacht is available from a Cheoy Lee dealer, but prices for a used yacht are in the neighborhood of $2 million or more depending on the features of the specific model. |
