The mighty Columbia River in northwestern United States serves as the namesake for Columbia boats. In construction, Columbia builds strong boats. They contain a one-piece bottom, floor cross-bracing every 16”'94, and four extrusions that unite with the internal bracing. This contributes to a hull that is reinforced where it takes the greatest pounding. Additionally, Columbia boats are all-welded aluminum. There are four featured lines: the Fisherman XL, Fisherman Outboard, Venture Inboard, and Venture Sterndrive. The Fisherman XL comes in three models: the 1918, 2018, and 2118. Thirty-seven standard features are on each model . The 1918 is 19’'92 long, weighs about 1,895 lbs., has a maximum horsepower of 200, and holds six people or 900 lbs. total. The 2018 is 20’'92 long, weighs about 1,965 lbs., has a maximum capacity of six people (or 1,200 lbs. total ), and 220 hp. The 2118 is 21’'92 long and weighs about 2,050 lbs. All three have a 62-gallon fuel capacity. The Outboards are 18’'92 long, about 1,435 lbs., hold five, and have a 42-gallon fuel tank. The Venture series are bigger and powered by MerCruiser engines. A 1971 model costs $1,000. A 1972 model costs $143,000. $19,000 is the average used price. |
