Commander Boats recently moved to Riverside, California to consolidate its overhead costs. It produces custom speed and motorboats for its consumers. The 2007 Commander 2800 Mid-Cuddy Bowrider (aka “\'93the Gladiator”\'94 ) is one featured model. Other featured models include the 2800 Party Deck and the 29 Signature. The 2800 Party Deck model is 28’\'92 long, weighs about 4,700 lbs., and has a fuel capacity of 70 gallons. Its beam is 102”\'94. The 29 Signature is 29’\'922”\'94, has a beam of 102”\'94, weighs about 6,500 lbs., and contains a 130-gallon fuel tank. It has a twenty-four degree deep -vee hull. Throughout the construction process, all Commander boats are cleaned, buffed, polished, and waxed, leaving the finished product in shining, pristine condition . Skilled gelcoaters tape and spray custom colors and graphics (see 2800 Mid-Cuddy Bowrider for example of graphics) onto the boats with the hands. The fiberglass is also hand-laminated. The 1995, 1996, 2002, 2003, and 2004 covers of Hot Boat magazines along with the 2003 and 2004 Power Boat magazines have featured Commander boats. A 1994 Howard 19 Super Jet in excellent condition costs $11,900. A 2003 Commander 2100 LX in showroom condition costs $35,900. Other used boats are low- to-mid five figures.
