Crestliner was started in 1946 as the Aluminum Boat Company. By 1948, the company was acquired by Loiel Ryan and renamed Larson Watercraft. Between 1955 and 1957, Larson Watercraft started producing models solely under the Crestliner name. The company officially took on the model name as a company name in 1957. The Comanche 17 was the first fiberglass boat developed by Crestliner in 1958. The Brunswick Corporation, after several owner transfers over the years, now owns the Crestliner company.

Crestliner sells both fishing boats and pontoon boats. The fishing boats available include Tournament, Raptor, Fish Hawk, Canadian, Sport Angler, Kodiak, CX Crappie and CX Bass. Pontoon boat models include Grand Cayman, Batata Bay, Escape and Suncast. Fishing boats tend to be rigged for outdoor sports like bass fishing and trout fishing while pontoon boats are designed for entertainment on the water with smooth rides and cruising speeds.

Tournament fishing boats by Crestliner are designed for tournament style bass and walleye fishing. The 202, Crestliner’s only Tournament model, offers bow baitwell, butt seat, battery storage compartment, storage on the bow and center rod storage system. The Raptor is a casting and trolling boat with three fishing boat styles. The models 1750 TE, 1850 CE and 1850 TE are available with side console, dual consoles and walk through windshields. CE is a casting edition and TE a trolling edition of the fishing boat.

The Suncast is a smaller model with room for rear captains chairs or a swimming / diving platform. While pontoon boats are typically used as family boats, the Suncast model is available with standard and angler floorplans.

All models of pontoon boat offered through Crestliner offer floorplan choice and upgrades. Optional upgrades are also available for fishing boat models.
