Donzi Boats

Don Aronow started the Donzi company in Florida. After making it in real estate, he moved to Florida at the age of 33 to create race boats. The first model was designed by Jim Wynne and together with Walt Walters, Aronow founded Donzi. The first model was a Formula 233 which was later followed by a 27‘ and 28‘ Donzi. The 28‘ Donzi was the first model to carry the official Donzi name. Donzi is all about speedboats and powerboats. The company currently offers four series of models - ZR, ZF, ZFX / ZSF and Classic.

In the ZR series, Donzi combines speedboat power with comfortable sleeping arrangements, user friendly grips and padded seating. The 27ZR is the smallest in the line at 27‘2“ with a lower cabin area for resting complete with a hidden porta-potty. One step up from the 27ZR is the 35ZR. The 35ZR measures 35‘3“ and offers a small galley in the cabin area of the boat. The 35ZR is also available in a Limited Edition. The Limited Edition also measures 35‘3“. Based on the original design of the 22 by Don Aronow, the racing style ZR offers a racing cabin and old model graphics.

The 38ZR is a bit larger than the 35ZR at 38‘10“. Engine options are available from MerCruiser up to 850HP. The interior is metal clad with silver, black and red. The cabin area offers ample seating and sleeping with a full galley. The 38ZR is also available developed with racing specifications. Known as the 38ZR Competition, the boat can pack dual motors reaching 1075HP each to reach speeds far faster than competition guidelines. The final speedboat by Donzi is the 43ZR. As the longest ZR edition, twin 850HP engines are recommended. When the power stops, a full cabin and galley are located below deck.

The ZF Series of Donzi powerboats is made up of open and cuddy boats. Open boats are typically used for cruising or fishing and offer no cabin space for overnight trips. Cuddies, on the other hand, offer cabin space below deck, as well as, gallies, staterooms and heads in most cases. The smallest Donzi ZF is the 26ZF Open. The boat offers speedboat power with a center console design. The 29ZF is practically the same model with a few additional feet length. The 29ZF Cuddy is the sleeper version of the 29ZF Open. Instead of heaving an open bow, the bow is closed with a cabin underneath. The boat is created for fishing with onboard coolers, fishbox, livewell and bait station. The 32, 35 and 38ZF Open all provide the same fishing luxuries as smaller Open models in the Donzi power fishing boat line. The remaining two models in the ZF series are the 35ZF Cuddy and 38ZF Cuddy. Top decks are created open space and angler specific amenities while a full stateroom and galley are located beneath deck.

Donzi created the ZFX and ZSF series to compliment multi-functional boating needs. Each of the models is designed as a cuddy, sportfish cruiser or open model. All models, aside from the 38 ZFX Open offers lower deck cabin space for extended fishing and cruising trips.

The Classic Donzi series is comprised of three models from Donzi past. Each of the models, 16 Classic, 18 Classic and 22 Classic are speedboats or powerboats with cruising as the primary function.
