The history of the Eliminator boating company started in Saginaw, Michigan. Bob Leach, the founder of the company, worked as a sales representative for Kellogg’s cereal and decided he wanted a change of scenery. With just $50 US in hand, Leach hitch hiked all the way to the coast of California and the rest is boating history. For more than 40 years, Eliminator has been creating every kind of boat. In the beginning, the company started with flat bottoms, but a quick up-turn in jet boat interest soon molded the future of the company. Today, Eliminator has expanded their inventory to include bow riders and cruisers along with some of the fastest jet boats ever to hit the waters. There are three models of Eliminator currently sold today – Daytona, Eagle and Fun Deck. The Daytona is the most popular and has been every since it was established as the first boat to break 100 mph on the water many years ago. The official website includes specifications and details about each boat series and model. Eliminator does not sell boats factory direct, but the website can connect a consumer with a local dealer for a custom boat quote or prices on current inventory. Online sales of Eliminator boats are available from brokers and private sellers. Consumers can expect to pay between $12,000 for 1970s models to more than $300,000 for late model builds. |
