A 19-foot river cruiser started the Fairline company in 1967. Founder, Jack Newington was replaced by son Sam who lead Fairline for 25 years. Today, the company continues producing sports yachts with the same dedication as founding father Jack. Fairline produces three series of boats - Squadron, Phantom and Targa. Compared to others in the sports yacht class, Fairline produces much fewer models, but they contend the quality far outweighs the quantity.

In years past, there were only two Squadron models, the Squadron 55 and Squadron 78. Recently, the Squadron 42, Squadron 50 and Squadron 65 were added. The 42 Squadron is a flybridge yacht with a compact bridge. Various layouts are available for both the deck and cabin area of the flybridge yacht. Overall length of the Squadron 42 is 42‘5“. Slightly larger is the new Squadron 50 at 50‘8“. The Squadron 55, 65 and 78 measure 56‘9“, 67‘ and 79‘11“ respectively. Each model of Squadron is highly customizable with optional engines and layouts.

The Phantom by Fairline is available only in the Phantom 48. Unlike other Fairline models, the Phantom 48 is considered a cruising yacht. The Phantom cruiser measures 49‘10“ and comes with three optional engine setups with a maximum horsepower of 670. The cruiser sleeps a minimum of seven passengers and can hold many more. There are three dedicated staterooms on the Phantom. One at the stern, one at the bow and another midship. The midship stateroom comes with an ensuite head.  A single bed opposite the galley is available for the 7th passenger.

The Targa series by Fairline is the largest series with eight available models - Targa 38, 44, 44 Open & GT, 47, 50, 52, 58 and 64. Targa is considered an express cruiser created for spending multiple days and nights on the water. The 38 sleeps four in one dedicated stateroom and two additional single beds. The Targe 47 is in the middle of the line, length-wise, but offers sleeping arrangements for only four persons with one dedicated stateroom and two singles. Length does not seem to be indicative of sleeping numbers in the Targe express cruising yacht line. The Targa 68 is created to sleep a minimum of eight with three doubles, three dedicated staterooms and two singles.

Fairline is a yacht line with express cruisers, flybridge yachts and cruiser yachts. Options are available to personalize each model. Details on each Fairline model include hullform, construction, deck, flybridge / helm position, interior furnishings and more.

Engine options are also available in all models with minimum and maximum horsepower requirements met with numerous engine variations. MAN, Caterpillar and Volvo Penta are the three engine manufacturers used by Fairline.
