Fiberform Boats

Fiberform was a boating company that was located in the Pacific NW United States. The company produced boats up until 1980 when the Bayliner company boat out Fiberform and the models disappeared all together. Today, many boating enthusiasts tout the strong hull and design of the boat when restoring old Fiberform models. Fiberform manufactured boats measuring between 16’ and 28’ in length. Some of the old models included the Fiberform 28 Flybridge in 1978 and the Fiberform 24DS in 1976. The company also sold Day Cruiser boats. Fiberform boats are considered middle of the line for their era. They were heavier than some boats, yet lighter than other models. The flat bottom on some Fiberform models made docking and maneuvering difficult in high winds. Today, many restoration experts choose to tear down the boat completely and restore it to factory style with upgrades for easier use on today’s waters. Old Fiberform boats can be found for sale online prices between $200 US and $8,000 US. Higher prices are often associated with boats that have been partially or fully restored. New Fiberform boats are not longer being produced and Bayliner does not associate itself with the Fiberform name. Information on restoration can only be found via other boating enthusiasts.
