The first Gambler boats got off to a rocky start, literally. Their rough water ability was compromised by a overhanging bow and poorly designed keel. This marked them in many fishermen's eyes as boats to avoid. Then came the 209 series with a redesigned keel, modified hull and refined design. The rough water handling was ironed out and the next few years saw Gambler become a dominant force in bass boat manufacture. Many of the innovations brought about by Gambler are now standard across the industry. The no splash-well transom, integrated setback, flippin' deck and quick-draw tackle storage are just some of the innovations Gambler brought to the bass boat that others have imitated. These elements still live on in modern boats. Gamblers are now some of the fastest, most stable bass boats on the water. Their sleek, low slung look is their signature, as is the comfortable passenger positions within the hull. From being ignored as unstable to being respected for their speed, comfort and rough water handling, Gambler has come a long way in a short time.

Pricing

Trade is still strong in used Gamblers. It isn't unusual to see a boat from the 1990's fetch over $6,000, whereas a 2010 model might be found for anything up to $60,000.
