Greenville, NC is the home of Grady-White and has been since 1959. The company was purchased in 1958 by Eddie Smith. Grady-White claims the more than 50 years of success is built on an intimate line of communication between the company, boat dealers and boat owners. When something is not quite right or boat owners want to see a change, Grady-White answers the call with a new model or advanced upgrade options. Grady-White specializes in fiberglass boats, or fishing boats in center console, dual console, walkaround consoles and express cabins. Cabins are available on several models that offer overnight sleeping quarters for boaters. There are 25 fishing boats in the Grady-White line. Fisherman, Freedom, Adventure, Seafarer, Gulfstream, Journey, Canyon, Chesapeake, Marlin and Express. Several series have different models under the same name making up the total 24 boat Grady-White fishing boat line. Fisherman comes in six models - the most of any Grady-White fishing boat series. The models include the Fisherman 180, 209, 222, 230, 257 and 273. The model name of the boat offers the general length of the boat. For instance the 180 is 18‘ long. All Fisherman models are center console. Freedom is a dual console line with bow seating. Some Freedom models come with optional hardtop. Adventure is another popular Grand Banks series / model. Currently there is only one Adventure design, but it offers below deck cabin space in a 20‘ boat design. The deck design is walkaround to accommodate several fishermen at one time. Seafarer is another single model design from Grand Banks. It is a 22‘ walkaround similar to the Adventure. Gulfstream, Journey, Chesapeake and Marlin round out the walkabout / cabin series. Canyon is a center console series from Grand Banks fishing boats that starts at 28‘ in length. This design offers a deep deck and open space for fishing. The model comes with a standard 205 gallon fuel capacity and maximum 600 HP with dual outboard motors. The Express is the final series from Grand Banks. The Express comes in 30‘, 33‘ and 36‘ length. Like the walkaround cabin series, the deck is open for fishing while below deck, stateroom(s) are available for overnight stays on the open water. Rod storage, huge fishbox and cockpit forward design come standard. Every Grand Banks model comes with a long list of standard features, but options are available to upgrade all designs.
