In the summer of 1993, Hanse Group created the Hanse 291. As a group of unemployed ship builders, the tooling and name for the sailboat was purchased by Michael Schmidt. The original name was the Aphrodite 291. After working on the model in the shipyard, the company revealed the affordable sailboat at a local exhibition. Thirty orders for the Hanse 291 were taken that day. Soon the Hanse 292, 301 and 331 were developed and sold. Today there are nine Hanse sailboat models. These are the 325, 355, 375, 400, 430, 445, 470, 545 and 630e.

The Hanse 325 sailboat yacht comes standard with steering wheel, single line reefing and self tacking jib. The model measures 31‘6“and comes with two staterooms.

Hanse 355 sailboat yacht is a bit larger at 34‘7“. The same standard equipment available on the 325 Hanse is on the 355 Hanse. A standard two stateroom layout is available, but three staterooms can also be accommodated.

At 37‘3“, the Hanse 375 is a roomy sailboat yacht. Standard configuration shows two staterooms, but three are available upon request. Cherry style flooring and a head with shower are standard as well.

The Hanse 400 measures 39‘7“. This sailboat yacht is a mid-sized sailboat with large sized features. Single or double wheeled steering and shallow or deep keel are only two of the options available on this sailboat yacht. As is the case with many Hanse models, two and three stateroom layouts are available.

The 43‘7“ Hanse 430 sailboat yacht comes with a standard deep keel for racing. Accommodations options are available from two to four staterooms. With a U shaped seating area, full dining table and optional navigation table, there are plenty of upgrades on the Hanse 430.

The Hanse 445 is a model in the making. According to preliminary information, the sailboat yacht will measure 44‘ and come with three staterooms standard. One option is available for two dual staterooms, bringing total rooms to four. Dual steering wheels come standard.

The Hanse 470 “Catwalk Limited” comes with upgrades including three spreaders and a quiet front cabin with private head. Measuring 47‘7“, the Hanse 470 sailboat yacht is one of the largest in the Hanse line of sailboats. Standard layouts provide three staterooms, but a four stateroom option is available.

The two big boys on the Hanse sailboat yacht model lineup are the 545 and 630e. The 545 measures 53‘3“ and the 630e measures 62‘4“. Boat models come with a variety of options and Hanse seems to prefer boat owners choose the perfect colors and interior design as well as decking to create a more personal sailboat. The 545 comes standard with three staterooms, which can be moved into different locations, but four staterooms are not available. The 630e is highly customizable with the sailboat broken into A, B, C and D sections. Each section can be chosen based on previous selections or as standalone upgrades.
