A subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Watercraft was founded in 1896 and produces and manufactures a variety of personal watercraft. Based in Japan, Kawasaki designs and manufacture a wide range of consumer products including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, ships and personal watercraft. They pride themselves on building quality, highly durable products that are also affordable for the average consumer. Synonomous with any type of professional watercraft, their “jet ski” sets the standard for the craft. They currently design and manufacture both one person jet skis and three people jet skis designed to fit almost any budget. Most notable of the one person jet ski is the Ket Ski 800 SX-R. An improvement and an update of the original jet ski introduced by Kawasaki in 1971, the Jet Ski 800 is a direct descendant of the original version. Its powerful 781 twin cc engine delivers high performance, 699 pounds of thrust, twin carburetors, vibration isolation, and a water jacketed exhaust system to reduce noise pollution. Fully cushioned, the cockpit is made to offer both stability and comfort for long rides. The three passenger line has a four-stroke, DOHC engine with a 8:4:1 compression ratio. The engine also has a maximum horse power of 260hp @7,750 rpm to insure maximum performance. Considered the ultimate in both performance and safety, the jet skis come standard with luxury touring seats to insure long-distance comfort.
