Lazzara Boats

Since 1990, Lazzara Yachts, of Tampa, FL, has produced custom built megayachts that carry price tags in the millions. A family-run business, they have no authorized dealers—customers must visit the Tampa facility in person, fill out an application, and work with the boat builder on design and specs for the yachts that range from 68’ to well over 100’. In 1960, Vince Lazzara started the sailboat manufacturer Columbia Yachts. After the company was later sold, his sons, Dick and Brad, used the money and family name to start a boat company of their own, Gulfstar. Specializing in power yachts and powersailers, Gulfstar didn’t last long. In 1990, the brothers founded the Lazzara Yachts outfit still around today. Lazzara is known for highly personalized customer service and their limited output of custom, high-quality, innovative luxury yachts. Two current models, the LSX 92 and LSX 75, are featured at many of the world’s most exclusive boat shows. Customer applications and specs determine just how many millions of dollars new Lazzaras go for. Pre-owned Lazzaras are anywhere from $4 million to $8 million depending on size and model year. A SuperYachts blogger says, “The Lazzara LSX 92 is simply magical with its flowing lines at the exterior, and, I dare to say, perfect interior. This yacht puts a spell on its viewers.”
