Marine Trader Boats

In 1968, Marine Trading International (MTI) began operations as a boat importer located in New Jersey, with its lines of Marine Trader boats. All Marine Trader boats are built by a number of different boat manufacturers in Taiwan and then imported by the company into the US. This privately-owned company has been in business for over 30 years, and is known for its trawlers and motor yachts. It rose quickly in popularity during the 1970s and 1980s due to the fuel efficient trawlers it was importing. At that time, gas prices were high so many boat owners were looking away from the faster models that used more gas to slower trawlers and motor yachts. Marine Trader boats continue to have a good reputation and both trawlers and motor yachts can be purchased as used or new. There are many different styles of Marine Trader boats available on the used market with prices varying greatly, based on the age, condition and style of boat being looked at. Trawlers that need some work can be found for as low as $30,000, while the larger motorized yachts can reach prices as high as $300,000.
