Skeeter Boats

Skeeter is a brand of boats that was founded back in 1948. This company is known for building the very first bass boat from fiberglass in 1961. According to the main website, this was a major advancement concerning both boat performance and durability. Skeeter was founded by Holmes Thurmond, and has introduced several new watercraft models over the years. Later on in 1971, the first V-bottom bass boat was also constructed by Skeeter. It offered various new features like the full-length rod box, X-Treme and X-Cel composite construction, as well as a powerful motor that provided 150 horsepower.

This brand also offers exclusive fishing rods made from carbon steel. A link is provided on the official website that allows consumers to build a Skeeter watercraft to suit specific preferences and needs. There are six different classes of watercrafts offered in this line. These are the FX Series, i-Class, ZX Series, SL Series, Deep-V Series, and Bay Boat Series. This brand offers 27 different boat models in all.

In the FX Series, you will find the FX 20, which is a 250 horsepower boat that holds up to five passengers, or 700 pounds. It has a fuel capacity of 50 gallons, and comes with options and features like an upholstered center seat, in-floor cooler, a modular console, spare prop holder, and custom grab handles. As for the Skeeter i-Class, the 21i model comes equipped with carpet padding, custom side panels, driver and passenger glove boxes, a fold-down center seat, tilt hydraulic steering, and a modular console. This model is 21 feet in length, weights 1,930 pounds, and has an interior depth of 21 inches.

There are six different models in the ZX Series of Skeeter boats. Amongst these is the ZX190. It holds up to four passengers and 36 gallons of fuel. Some features and options available for this watercraft are as follows; volt meter and trim gauge, a front deck cooler, drink holders, storage under the driver and passenger seats, a passenger grab handle, interior and exterior decals, and a bike seat with a Power Pro Pole. Four different models can be found in the SL Series of Skeeter boats. The SL1900 for instance, is designed for the most intense water sports. It comes equipped with a 200 horsepower engine, a walk thru windshield, a rear bench seat, and in floor ski and rod storage space.

Both the Deep-V Series of Skeeter watercrafts, as well as the Bay Boat Series incorporate six different models in each line. In the Bay Boat Series, the ZX22BayT is a model that is ideal for shallow waters. This high performance fishing boat has a dry weight of 2,070 pounds, and an overall length of 21 feet and 10 inches. It holds up to eight passengers, and has features like the analog water pressure gauge, removable windshield, and Yamaha multifunctional speedometer with fuel gauge and clock.
