Dinghies are a type of very small boat, usually ten feet or less, that have a number of purposes. The maximum capacity of a dinghy is usually 5 people. They can be made of a variety of materials. The thing to remember is that the word dinghy describes more the size of the boat than the boat’s function or how is it propelled. Because of this fact, the cost of dinghies can vary widely. For the average dinghy for home use, however, the prospective buyer will pay around $900 dollars. This will be around enough space for two people, supplies, and will include the oars. Note that this is the starting price for a boat made of synthetic composite. A wood dinghy, a larger boat, a motorized boat, or rigged for sailing, this will affect the cost.
