About Boat Wood Sealer
Wood sealer is used on woods mainly to protect the surface particle and grain patterns and balance out stain absorbency. Once the sealer penetrates the wood, stain absorbency is slowed down allowing for more even natural color appearance. Application requires a soft rug or a wire brush and is done by lightly scrubbing the wood in the same direction as the grain of the wood. Application needs several coating until the surface shows a dull but uniform appearance.
