Angler Boats was founded over thirty years ago by Elio Grillo and Cooper Camp. Prior to starting their own business, the two men worked together in another company that gave them the experience needed to branch out privately. When they started Angler Boats, their facilities were small, just a rented place on the Miami River. But with Camp’s connections and selling skills and Grillo’s ability to find suppliers and workers, Angler Boats soon grew. In fact, before they had even completed their prototype product, five boat dealers had placed orders.

Since their humble beginnings, Grillo and Camp have brought numerous changes in Angler Boats, including a 103,000 square foot factory. With boats ranging from 17 to 31 feet, shoppers would be hard pressed not to find something to their liking. Also, the quality of their boats has improved. Although the original Angler boats were built to high quality specifications, current computer engineering has given Angler new opportunities for excellence.

New Angler boats start in the price range of $50,000 to $65,000, with used models available from $20,000 to $50,000, depending on the exact specifications.

Conclusion

Angler Boats appears to have many things in its favor. They claim to sell a high quality, precisely engineered product with a good warranty. The company began business over 30 years ago and has been under the same leadership during that time. Its founders were already experienced boat builders. Angler has a strong reputation that contradicts some of the negative reviews out there, but all information should be examined carefully by any potential buyer of an Angler boat. Those looking for an affordable fishing boat should definitely still consider the company an option.
