Cabo Yachts offers just enough personalization at an accessible price point that budget-conscious enthusiasts will find appealing.

The traditionalist boater will feel very much at home with the rather straightforward control schemes and roomy cockpits. Speed and maneuverability is standard on each model for its size, so the learning curve for novice yachting enthusiasts is minimal. Manual backups abound, and excellent little design details like gas actuators which regulate hatches over deck storage areas. Engine access, usually a difficult on even the nicest boats, is fairly convenient on most models. Hydraulically-lifted aft decks are also convenient. All these features packed into a sparklingly clean aesthetic make for an attractive, functional and comfortable boat.

Cabo Yachts’ line does present some variety. The smallest model, the Cabo 32 Express, is an exceptionally balanced and comfortable boat that performs just as well as its larger siblings. However, the Cabo 35 Flybridge definitely includes a few extra features in its expanded cabin area. A larger, fully-featured galley complements a family style table setting. The bedroom is spacious, as is the cockpit which features appropriately weighty stainless steel controls. But this can’t be compared to the Cabo 52 Express, whose galley is as large as a standard kitchen and whose bathroom contains a comfortably sized standup shower. This, the largest of Cabo’s Yachts, comes at a $1.5 million price point.
