• Third, this sailboat is limited to freshwater. There are some sailboats built to sail on the ocean, but this model would not survive long on the open seas. So, you’re basically limited to freshwater areas such as bays and sounds.
• Fourth, the Catalina MKII is significantly affected by weather. Basically, the headwinds determine whether you’ll have an enjoyable sailing experience or a poor one. So, if you’re caught in the doldrums, you mine as well stow the sail and just use your engine.
